JESSICA E. BOYD
CO-FOUNDER + COORDINATOR
Named one of 11 up-and-comers in Columbia, S.C.'s Free Times' 2015 Power Issue (highlighting "Fifty People Who Get Things Done in the Capital City"), Jessica is best known among those closest to her for her endless creativity and entrepreneurial spirit. She was raised in Columbia and graduated from Spelman College with an honors English degree in 2009. She then briefly entertained law school in 2010 before deciding to pursue an MBA, graduating from North Carolina Central University in 2012.
Jessica returned to wearing her natural hair in 2008 and remains steadfast in her mission to improve images and dialogue about natural hair. Through the Miss Naturally Crowned pageants, Jessica hopes to continue empowering women, and all people, to embrace their authentic power potential.
When she isn't dream building through her brand development firm, The Gild Agency, you can find Jessica exploring hidden treasures, indulging in vegan cuisine, or somewhere seeking an open ear for her latest out-of-the-box idea.
CO-FOUNDER + FINANCE MANAGER
Maureen is a lover of all things analytical. Her investigative personality and systematic nature led to her obtaining a degree in Industrial and Systems Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology in 2010. She has been a full-time engineer for the past six years, and recently relocated from Atlanta to Austin, TX, to continue to her career. Maureen earned her MBA, with a concentration in finance, from Georgia State University in 2014. She hopes to use her degree to advance her analytical skills and provide successful capital management for Miss Naturally Crowned.
Maureen is a firm believer that confidence has a direct correlation to happiness, in that it impacts the way we view and enjoy life. It is the key ingredient to both personal success and a life of fulfillment. Maureen hopes that the Miss Naturally Crowned pageants will continue to impact the global community, and others nationally and globally, as well as encourage all people to embrace their true selves.
LOLITA "LOCO STRUT" FRAZIER
POISE + BODY CONFIDENCE COACH
Our awareness of our bodies and the way we walk through life is deeply connected to the way we feel about ourselves. It also impacts who the world perceives us to be. Lolita Frazier is a Virginia native and fashion professional, best known for her aggressive, yet swift style on the runway. She began her modeling career in local fashion and hair shows, and went on to compete and win numerous runway competitions --once earning the nickname “Loco Strut.”
As Founder of Loco Strut Runway Productions, Lolita transforms women, men, and children of all ages and sizes into graceful, headstrong runway models. Under her training, models not only develop a signature runway style, but they also develop the self-assurance and self-esteem to continue that walk in their daily lives. She provides training on a personal level by offering 1-on-1 runway classes as well as runway workshops, fashion show coordinating, and other fashion related services.
Charleston-native tawana tee is a public relations professional who specializes in non-traditional PR techniques. Born Tawana Nadine Tolbert, the Charleston County School of the Arts alum began to sculpt her craft at an early age, ultimately receiving a theater scholarship to Tennessee State University, where she graduated magna cum laude with a B.S in Speech Communications and Theater. tawana tee also earned her master's in mass communication from the University of South Carolina.
tawana tee’s performing arts background combined with her prestigious education allows her to think outside the box. Her future clients can expect a creative twist to traditional and non-traditional public relations services.
TWITTER CONTENT MANAGER
Tabitha is a Digital Content Producer/Assignment Editor at WLTX-TV in Columbia, SC, a freelance wedding videographer, and she has a segment on the J. Anthony Brown Radio Show. She carries a communication degree from Winthrop University, where she studied abroad in Costa Rica to complete her Spanish minor. Tabitha also previously interned at NBC's "New York Live" as a production assistant and worked with "The Tom Joyner Morning Show," helping produce some of Jacque Reid's 'Inside Her Story' segments.
